Station House, a large student accommodation complex in Leamington with 226 beds, required a robust, high-speed connectivity solution capable of supporting the simultaneous demands of hundreds of residents. The existing or planned infrastructure was insufficient to handle the high-density usage typical of student living, which includes heavy streaming, gaming, online learning, and multiple device usage per person. The challenge was to design and implement a completely new, future-proof fibre network across the entire multi-block site to ensure reliable, fast internet access in every room and communal area.
2Our Solution
Umbrella Broadband undertook a comprehensive project to design and install a brand-new, dedicated fibre network throughout all blocks of the Station House complex. This involved laying new fibre optic cabling as the backbone for the entire operation. Crucially, the solution included providing full, seamless Wi-Fi coverage across the entire 226-bed facility, ensuring consistent high speeds and reliability whether students were in their rooms, common areas, or study spaces. Furthermore, a dedicated high-capacity internet line was provisioned specifically for the building to guarantee sufficient bandwidth.
